Ajuga reptans 'Gold Chang' (Golden Treasure) has an unusual, bright lime-yellow leaf colour for this genus. The plant has extremely good growing characteristics and an attractive shape. 'Gold Chang' blooms in (early) spring with pale pink clusters of flowers. This new Ajuga is ideal for all sorts of mixtures with bedding plants and perennials, and can also be used in hanging baskets. Good for patios but also in gardens. 'Gold Chang' spreads in the garden via shoots and becomes an attractive lime-yellow ground cover. It is a low-maintenance plant that prefers a (semi-) shady spot in well-drained soil that does not dry out. The plant spreads out and grows to approximately 25 cm tall (when it blooms) and the foliage to 10 cm at most. The plant was bred by Mimoto Engei Co. Ltd from Kochi city (Japan) and is protected under plant breeding legislation. Vitroflora from Dobrcz (Poland) submitted the plant and will also market it.
