Visitors results Plantarium 2018

The results of Plantarium 2018 are clear: the road taken is a good one and has given us an appetite for more. Exhibitors responded positively to the recent edition and support the organisation in the good direction that has been chosen.

In 2018, Plantarium moved to a new location under one roof with GROEN-Direkt and the format was also changed from four to three days (without a consumer day on Saturday). The trade fair was set up constructively, making Plantarium a genuine business trade fair once again.

Figures
The participants rated Plantarium 2018 as good, judging by the figures for the number of visitors (7.1), quality of visitors (7.7) and the connection with GROEN-Direkt (8.3). The business done is expressed best in the percentage of participants that directly receive orders (48%) make new contacts (78%) and, as expected, meet existing relations (94%).

Visitors
It is estimated that the entire event was visited by 11,000 visitors, 25% of which were from abroad. Pre-registration shows that 44 different nationalities came to Boskoop, with the top 5 consisting of Germany (19%), Belgium (13%), Italy (11%), England (10%) and France (10%). Plantarium continues to be visited by many owners (40%), employees (30%), purchasers (16%) and sales people (14%) with a background as grower (35%), merchant (21%), garden centre/retail (16%), supplier (15%) or landscaper (8%).

Date of Plantarium 2019
The participants were divided about the date of the trade fair in 2019. They would prefer holding it a week later, but the sales figures of GROEN-Direkt were the deciding factor in sticking with week 34 (21 to 23 August 2019).
